Cool and Crisp: Iceberg

I saw this collection a while ago, but completely forgot to write a post about it. I'm kicking myself now, because this is easily one of my favourite collections from Spring 2011. There really is only one word that describes how Iceberg's latest collection made me feel. Refreshed. I really enjoyed the whites and pastels that Paolo Gerani used for these clothes. Brilliant!

Back in 1974 when Iceberg debuted its first menswear line, it was known for chunky sweaters. It seems as though old habits die hard. I'm not sure how the sheer sweater on the right would translate to the street, but it looks killer on the runway. I love the casual pants that were paired with it as well. Talk about making sweats look high fashion! Who knows. Maybe I'll be seen in public wearing a pair soon... Or not!

Both ofthese outfits make brilliant use of pastels. I especially love the one on the right. The layering is impeccable, and the two-toned shirt underneath everything brings some really nice detail to the look!

I've never been one to wear graphic tees. They're too busy and often cause the rest of the outfit to go unnoticed. They're also a pain to match with, and so make layering next to impossible. Iceberg has proven me entirely wrong with these three looks, however. I absolutely adore each and every thing about these three looks. I especially love the colours of the blue shirt that the guy on the right is wearing. And the design even adds to the overall whimsicalness of the outfit! Now also seems like a good time to mention the bags that were mentioned in this collection. Iceberg seems to have brought something for everyone to the table. There were small and sleek shoulder-bags that could be used for office days, and there were big and chunky bags that could be used for overnight.
